British Council IELTS Prize 2020 Announcement
The British Council IELTS Prize (East Asia) is awarded to high-calibre individuals with the motivation to develop their career, to pursue an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in any chosen discipline in a higher education institution that accepts IELTS as part of its admission requirements around the world. While the IELTS Prize is not aimed at students in any one particular discipline, the British Council is eager to support test takers who demonstrate the potential to contribute to society with what they have gained from their undergraduate or postgraduate study experience.
This year, applicants stand a chance to win either a regional prize or a local prize. Local prizes are awarded to three motivated individuals in each of the eligible countries / territories in East Asia*, while regional prizes are awarded to three outstanding individuals within the East Asia region*.

Requirements for applying IELTS Prize 2019/20:
- Taking test with British Council from 01 April 2019 onward
- Achieving at least 6.0 for each skill
- Plan to study abroad in school year 2020-2021
- An essay of 500 words
