VERB PHRASES – HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES
*Rent and Hire mean the same but we normally use rent for a longer period of time, e.g. you rent a flat or apartment, and hire for a short time, e.g. you hire skis, a bike, a boat, etc. With a car you can use hire or rent.
Discussion Questions:
Which of these activities do you always do, sometimes do, or never do when you go on holiday?
Which of these activities do you enjoy the most? Why?
Which of these activities do you enjoy the least? Why?

10 cards contain verbs and 10 cards contain their matching nouns. You need to match the verbs with the correct nouns to make a complete verb phrase. E.g. the card ‘Stay’ will only match with the card ‘in a
hotel’
You can only flip two cards at a time, so you need to try and remember the words on each card as you play.
