I – Vocabulary
Plans (/plæns/): future activities or events, something you want to do
Ex: Do you have any plans this weekend?
To have in mind (to /hæv/ in /maɪnd/ ): to be thinking about a particular idea
Ex: What did you have in mind for this weekend?
Rather (/ˈrɑː.ðər/): to prefer or like better
Ex: I’d rather stay home and read a book.
Negative: I’d rather not watch a movie.
Pick up (/pɪk/ /ʌp): to go and get someone or something
Ex: I’ll pick you up at 5:00.
– Can you pick up some bananas after work?
Arrange (/əˈreɪndʒ/): to make plans
Ex: Let’s arrange a time to get coffee this week.
Feel like [sth] (/fiːl/ /laɪk/): to be in the mood to do something
Ex: I feel like having some ice cream!
Negative: I don’t feel like watching a movie right now.
